I’m a so happy to finally announce the relaunch of Juliet Nicole Photography website and blog! The old blog has been archived and this new space is brand spanking new!
It has been a long time coming and I want to thank everyone for their patience and encouragement during the most chaotic 18 months of my life. First I became a care giver to my mom post her double knee surgeries which included running her small business. Which of course led to less and less time to build my own business, which in turn led me to the decision to stop photographing weddings and focus primarily on high school seniors and teens in the bay area. I love working with seniors and teens on fun shoots that really bring out who they are and who they are becoming. Its a great time in their life with major transitions just around the corner.
Also during the last year my daughter was scheduled for open heart surgery in early July. As we prepared her and us for this major surgery, including counseling and emotional preparation for a brave 10 year old, the surgery was postponed to early October. So the extra waiting and anxiety of that time required my attention and pushed the launch back even more. Thankfully the surgery was a HUGE success and we can rest easy for at least another 10 years as she grows and fulfills her potential.
I wanted to share all this as a way to be more transparent in my online presence and share more of what is going on with me and my family.
So what is in store for JNP Seniors?? I’m very excited to offer amazing photo sessions that include hair and make up along with wardrobe styling by professional stylists for each and every session. I’ll be launching the Senior Rep 2010 and 2011 program this week where 2 seniors from each High School all over the bay area will be chosen to represent and spread the word about JNP with lots of great incentives and perks.
I’ll also be revealing products and album options to best show off your new photos and persevere them forever. And the best part is that I’m now back to shooting with FILM, my first love. I first learned photography with film, I love the color and tones of black and white and the best part, no more image processing in Photoshop for hours trying to achieve the same look. It’s going to be amazing.
A few blogs will feature some digital work, but for the most part its going to be all FILM FILM FILM. First up is a recent session with Krista shot entirely with Fuji film and my trusty Nikon. Adrian Hernandez styled her hair and clothing and Diana Cortez did make up. It was freezing but we had a great time in Downtown San Jose.
Enjoy! ♥ Juliet
